Saturday is Creation Day

Sorry, I haven’t come up with a snappy title for it yet.

Despite that, you’re invited to a day of creative energy and work at the Stublefield House. Sadly, April will be out of town, but I am determined to put on a pot of coffee, maybe make some biscuits or something, and plant myself at the kitchen table with a stack of Dungeons & Dragons books, my MacBook, a pad of grid paper, and my dice. I will get something accomplished this Saturday.

And since I’m just going to be sitting there, plugging away and thinking about goblins and stuff, you could totally come by and be creative too! Bring whatever you like, be it drawing materials or a notepad for writing poetry, or maybe a laptop for graphic design, or a portable bonzai tree. I suppose you could also come over and play a game (I just got my XBox back) or hang out.

Just be aware that I won’t be entertaining or hosting, but rather will be designing an alternate dimension of fantastic adventure and wonder. So you’re pretty much being invited to come over and do your own thing while basking in my radiated glory.

I’ll probably start work around 8 or 9 a.m., and will be going until at least 3 or 4 p.m. Call me if you need directions or something. By no means do you have to be here the whole time–just show up and leave as you like. I’m considering grilling hamburgers for lunch, so if you’re into that sort of thing, feel free to swing by to eat (because I will most assuredly have way more than I can eat on my own, and April doesn’t like hamburgers).

If this goes well, we’ll (probably) do it again, so don’t despair if you can’t make it this weekend. Then again, if it ends up with me getting no work done (as so many Saturdays do), I’ll probably pretend this never happened and erase the memories of everyone who came.

See you on Saturday!

  1. It’s supposed to snow Saturday, so you might want to rethink the hamburgers, or grill them in advance, or grill them indoors.
I have so much creation homework; I’m sad I can’t be there!
