It’s just not believable that someone as attractive, smart, and funny as Liz Lemon would be perpetually single, lonely, and mocked as she is. No personality problems or anything. I can’t buy it.
Still watching it though. Good show.

If you haven’t watched the entire series yet, I’d highly recommend you do so. You can find it linked on places like http://sidereel.net and http://watch-series.com. You start to understand the strange character of Liz over time. It’s not that she’s unattractive or not funny or anything of that nature. It’s that she is strange. Goofy. Quirky. Over-stretched. And this gets her mocked. They have to have an antagonist force in the show somehow.
And I’d suggest that if you’re worried about the believability of the show… you should find another show 🙂

I’m watching it on Netflix via XBox; currently in season two.
Definitely enjoy it 🙂 It’s just that everything else makes sense (though sometimes in a weird, twisted sort of way) except for her character and the way most people treat her.

Kenneth is nothing if he is not nonsensical.
And Liz Lemon is super weird. As far as looks go, she’s just average. I think that’s what makes it work. All of the people she works with are used to plastic attractiveness. Liz Lemon is a super quirky everywoman, which arguably makes her even hotter…

Yeah, they definitely expand on why Liz is perpetually alone or in messed up relationships later in the series. It would be less funny if she found herself in a normal relationship. 🙂
And all things considered, she does get a lot of nookie throughout the series. It just never works out. lol

After seeing the High School Reunion episode, Liz’s perpetual singleness makes sense now 😛 Really, really enjoying season three.
